Landscapes

Because I have always been a hiker and lover of nature, my landscapes come from the very heart of my being. The “Floating Leaves” paintings came into existence when I was trying to make sense of my mother’s death forty years ago. I recalled a pond she and my father built a long time before water features were in vogue. The water reflected light and color as the beautiful fall leaves floated on the surface, much as we do in our youth. Gradually the leaves fade, descending to become sustenance for the water creatures who live there.

This is the cycle of life and hopefully as we mature, we too can provide life and wisdom for future generations.
