Cynthia
L. Wilson is a nationally recognized painter who has been represented
in several books by Rockport Publsihing, including "The Best
of Watercolor," and "Floral Inspirations". She has
been included in "Who's Who in American Art" since 1992,
and has been featured in "Artists Magazine". Her work is
in collections including the Housatonic Museum of Art, Fairfield University,
the Town of Westport, CT, and Georgia Tech as well as corporate and
private collections. She is a signature member of New England Watercolor
Society, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society and National Society of Painters
in Casein and Acrylic. She has received awards from the national exhibitions
including the Academic Artists, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, American
Artists Professional League, the Tenth Northeast Regional Biennial,
and National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic. Locally, she
received "Best of Show" from the Henderson County Arts Center
Landscape exhibition. She was awarded a Regional Artists Project Grant
in 2001, and created a bear for the first "Bearfootin' in Hendersonville"
public art project. She teaches workshops through Hemlocks Studios,
and has completed fifteen solo exhibitions. She is represented by
Hand in Hand Gallery in Flat Rock, NC, Maralyn Wilson Gallery in Birmingham,
AL, and American Art Resouces.
